During my childhood I saw many sadhus in my home town as it is a holy place. But I was not much familiar with their activities. In the north side of my home there are some big ashrams for sadhus. They woke up early in the morning around 4 o'clock and chant the word 'soham'. They also sang a song whose wording was some thing like that: "uth jaag mussafir bhor hua ab rein kha jo sovat hai, jo sovat hai vo khovat hai, jo jagat hai vo pavat hai......." I also woke up early in the morning for study, so I also enjoyed this song parallel to my study.
After finishing the satsang what they do I didn't know. But in the afternoon (at the time of lunch around 11 o'clock) some sadhus went door-to-door for food. Out of them one sadhu visited our house daily and says "hariom hari" by hearing this sound I or sometimes my brother or sister or even my mother also went to give chapati and dal to him.
